Fall Color in My Garden In California

This colorful gaillardia plant is also called a blanket flower.  They always remind me of fall.   I love the red and gold smiling faces.  They are drought resistant and are from the sunflower family.

What a cheerful smile on a rainy, gloomy day.

They do not produce an essence and their fragrance is not very attractive..Sometimes the flowers and the color show are enough.
