It has been a fun ride but the time has come to post a final farewell.  It has been a sweet, fragrant journey that at times was floral and others was more citrus and light. The archives will remain here but there will  not be any new posts.

Couture Parfumier JoAnne Bassett launches another coffret in her all-natural fragrances and exquisite parfums collections.

A dab of exquisite perfume – especially when it is all natural and made from the world’s finest rose essences – attracts the senses to its delicate feminine power. In France, a coffret is a small perfume bottle of “anointing oil” meant for dressers, bathrooms, office drawers, travel bags and even purses. Some French men and women stock a collection of coffrets with their favorite scents for day, night or to create a certain mood.

JoAnne offers her collections, signature and custom scents in a gilded box with two coffrets (3 ml each) inside. The glass bottles with sparkling gold tops come inside creamy white silk bags with matching silk pillow. Coffrets are also sold individually.

Rose Smoke and Rose Kiss Coffrets
For summer, and especially for brides, JoAnne has created a coffret combo of powerful, yet fragile rose scents to enliven the senses and soothe the soul. The earthy and airy Rose Smoke includes Egyptian rose de mai (May rose), French vanilla, tobacco absolute and balsam. Sweet and slightly musky, Rose Kiss benefits from a simple formula of Egyptian rose damask absolute (rosa damascena), French vanilla absolute, Turkish Oman frankincense, rose damask otto, cocoa absolute and balsam.

Rose Smoke & Rose Kiss Coffrets: $60 each or $100 for two lovers set include 3 ml anointing oils in organic jojoba oil packaged inside a gilded white rose box with butterfly, silk bags and silk pillow.

New Moon in Libra - How Balanced Is Your Life?

A Pink Rose For Valentine's Day

I love the fact that I have roses in full bloom in my yard in February. Lush, sweet smelling roses. This particular old rose has the most silky soft petals. The soft, floral aroma is deeply enchanting. The pastel pink is easy on the eyes. The gentleness of the bloom coupled with the ethereal scent attracts the little hummingbirds..What a sight to behold! The green body of the hummingbird in contrast to the flowers in the garden appear as art on a canvas.
