Natural Perfume - Descanso Gardens Rose Festival near Los Angeles, California.

I went to the Rose Festival on Sunday, May 25. What a delightful event! Floral artist Alison Franchi and make-up artist Jennifer Aspinall turned a model into a living piece of art decorated with roses, body paint and jewels. An homage to the gardens at Versailles. What a fabulous job! This model would fit right in with my Royal Collection of natural perfumes.

I was so enchanted with the rose garden, the California native gardens, the tall oaks, the water falls, the rhodies and camelias blooming that I forgot to take photos. The natural perfume of the roses in the 80 degree afternoon sun was amazing. The ride on the train past koi ponds and wonderful large trees was fun. The Boddy house was also interesting and the hike through the forest to get there was great.

Spring Scents

Contessa eau de parfum from the French Collection is one of my favorites.  A floral oriental style fragrance.  This natural perfume will capture your heart. Unisex.

Notes: Rose de Mai from France, bergamot, vintage Jasmine sambac, Neroli, Cinnamon, Frankincense, vintage Mysore Sandalwood, and others

 Josephine eau de parfum from the Royal Collection is a fresh, green, light fragrance. It reminds me of fresh mown grass and the world coming alive.  Trees and plants leafing out and the beautiful fresh green smell they lend to the environment.

In 1991 I was in Paris on Bastille Day.  It was quite a celebration.  I was standing on the Pont Neuf - the new bridge...which is now the oldest bridge in Paris.  There was a crowd of people around me speaking many languages.  The Eiffel Tower was dark and all of a sudden the bottom 1/3 had the lights turned on.  Then the  middle section was lit up.  Finally the top was all lit up. All of a sudden there were fireworks exploding.

It was glorious.  For that one moment we were all united.  Vive la France!

I love my new portable fragrance sprayers.  They fit nicely in a pocket, purse, briefcase, desk drawer, or gym bag.  This is a lovely pink with silver dots.  They hold 5 ml  - 1/6 oz of your fragrance.  They have a glass refillable bottle.  How great is that?  They make great holiday gifts and stocking stuffers...

Exploding Roses for Valentine's Day!

I love sweet smelling roses in my garden.  I love the way the dew lingers on the petals.  I love the brilliant colors and silky softness of the petals.  The magic of the flower opening in the sunlight.  The heat is slowly opening the flower and allowing light to come in....Beautiful picture in my mind.

One of my favorite natural materials to use is 100% natural rose oil or rose otto...It is so loving..opening the heart chakra wide open with just one smell.  Deep breath..and you are there.

Because I love rose so much I use it often in my 100% natural fragrances.  It is used in my eau de toilettes, eau de perfumes, parfums, and custom couture parfums.
